What is Zion?

The pure in heart; a community united in love and harmony; friends strengthening one another through service. There are many definitions of Zion. For us, Zion is not a geographic location, but a way of living and a way of being. Our definition of Zion comes from an LDS scripture about a people who sought and achieved a level of goodness that can be admired by all. It states:

"And the Lord called his people Zion,
because they were of one heart and one mind, and dwelt in righteousness;
and there were no poor among them."

From this, we have developed a simple working definition of Zion which we hope can help people of all faiths and nationalities as they work together to build a better future. Simply put, for us Zion is a group of people that like one another, who know how to work together, who live by a common set of moral values, and who do not leave anyone out. We invite you to learn more about these principles by clicking on the banner below.

One Heart: Being Friends ● Dwelt in Righteousness: Common Moral Values
One Mind: Common Goals ● No Poor Among Them: Nobody Left Out

We believe that each of these elements is necessary to attain true success. All of our Zion Communities projects seek to help families, neighbors, and communities in their efforts to achieve these ideals.
